HYGIENE REGULATIONS

Specific regulations related to the food industry, impose a number ofrequirements related to hygiene and cleanliness of the premises. These are joined by other needs:

• DURABILITY AND RESISTANCE: due to the continuous passage of heavy loads and frequent spilling of water and acids. The industrial clinker is a ceramic material with high mechanical properties; thus, the flooring will be able to withstand mechanical stress and the chemicals and acids typically found in food processing rooms over time.
• ANTI-SLIP: The flooring must have a non-slip surface to prevent possible accidents caused by slipperiness. This is especially in the presence of liquids and/or grease. We offer a wide range of solutions for klinker floor and wall tiles, with certified roughness grades from R10 to R13.
• WATERPROOFING: Klinker is a waterproof material, with a very low degree of water and liquid absorption. the flooring will therefore be able to prevent possible deformation due to water absorption. Waterproofness is also guaranteed by the grout, made with professional epoxy resins and specifics, for different work environments.
• RESISTANCE TO TEMPERATURES AND THERMAL SWINGS: Clinker is able to withstand temperatures and swings typical of food production rooms, so the flooring will be able to withstand freezing and thawing cycles without suffering damage and deformation.
• ABSENCE OF INTERSTITUTIONS AND EDGES: The flooring must not have any edges or crevices, such that they can become places for dirt and residues to settle, resulting in the risk of bacterial infestation. • AESTHETICS: An industrial klinker floor has a rustic and natural look; clinker flooring, when made with quality products and utmost care in installation, proves to be an excellent environment enhancer.
