Hygienic Regulations
CHARACTERISTICS OF INDUSTRIAL FLOORING
In environments where food or substances are handled and where specific hygiene and safety criteria must be followed, the coatings applied tofloors and walls must have particular properties.
RESISTANCE
Clinker is a ceramic material characterized by high strength, which makes it suitable for industrial flooring subjected to significant mechanical stress. Surfaces made with this material are designed to withstand wear over time.
NON-SLIP PROPERTIES
The tiles must have a non-slip surface, essential for preventing potential accidents, especially in areas where liquids and fats are spilled. We offer a wide range of solutions, with roughness grades certified from R10 to R13, for safe klinker coverings.
WATERPROOFING
Clinker is impermeable, a characteristic that minimizes the absorption of water, liquids, acids, and chemicals. Therefore, floors made with this material do not undergo deformation. The high level of impermeability is also ensured by the grouting, made with professional epoxy resins specifically designed for different work environments.
THERMAL RESISTANCE
Clinker coatings maintain their properties even when exposed to extreme temperatures and thermal shocks, a common situation in industrial plants across various sectors. Companies involved in food production, where flooring remains undamaged despite continuous freezing and thawing cycles, are a prime example.
ABSENCE OF GAPS AND SHARP EDGES
There should be no 90° angles, sharp edges, or gaps between the floors and walls, as dirt and residues could accumulate, leading to the risk of bacterial infestation. For this reason, we offer a wide range of special clinker pieces that allow for the creation of hygienic, functional, and easy-to-clean surfaces.
